Erin St Louis, LMFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech. During her graduate studies, Erin worked at The Center for Family Services in Falls Church, providing therapy for families, couples and individuals.
Erin has extensive experience working with the adolescent population and their parents. She worked at the Inova Kellar Center, in a short-term, clinically intensive Day Treatment program with adolescents and their families regarding mental health and substance abuse issues.
For over eight years Erin worked at the Foundations Program (formerly known as Girls Probation House), a residential treatment program for adolescent girls on Probation with Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. Erin served as both an individual and family counselor in this setting, working with residents and their families on a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, domestic violence, and physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Additionally, she ran a parent support group at Foundations and provided individualized parenting sessions in conjunction with family therapy.
Erin’s practice includes working with individuals, couples, and families. She uses a blend of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Bowen Family Systems. Erin believes in the importance of establishing a therapeutic relationship and providing non-judgmental support. Erin’s main goal is to help clients and families feel better and let go of pain they have experienced in the past. Erin is married with two step-daughters and three sons.
