
Rafael is a current graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health program at Regent University and he is completing his clinical requirements under the supervision of Paul Marion, LPC. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Rafael’s prior experience includes ABA therapy with children and adolescents and mental health coaching in a Partial Hospitalization setting with children. Rafael also served as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy. Throughout his time in the military, Rafael served with the Second Marine Division in North Carolina, The USS Abraham Lincoln, and Naval Medical Center Portsmouth providing medical care and assuring medical readiness for both sailors and marines. He is fluent in English and Spanish. Rafael enjoys Dialectical Behavior, Narrative, Person-Centered, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Rafael aims to create a safe space for all who need it and build a strong therapeutic alliance where clients can thrive, achieve their therapeutic goals, and live their fullest potential.
